Shipping & Returns Policy

DELIVERY POLICIES

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we take special care to ensure your product will arrive in perfect condition. Packages can include a personalized gift message and free gift-wrap is available for most items.

We can pack and ship boxes via Next Day Air and with cold packs as requested. Chocolate is very susceptible to changes in temperature. Please remember this when shipping our fine candy to your friends and relatives. Sayklly’s Confectionery and Gifts and FedEx are NOT responsible for melted or frozen chocolates. We recommend shipping our classic candies such as fudge, peanut brittle, or taffy to hot climates, or during summer months.

Please note that we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes. You must provide a street address for your order. Be sure to include the appropriate suite or apartment numbers when necessary to ensure proper delivery.

Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm EST. Please allow two business days for orders to be shipped during the regular season, and five business days during holiday seasons.

Fedex Express and Ground(business) do not consider Saturday and Sunday as a delivery day.  Fedex Home delivers on Saturday and does not deliver on Monday.

SUGGESTIONS FOR HANDLING AND STORING CHOCOLATE

  • Chocolate is susceptible to moisture and absorbs external odors. Store chocolate in a cool dry place away from light and air.
  • The ideal temperature for storing chocolate is between 54°F and 68°F (12° and 20°C). At higher temperatures the chocolate will soften and lose its gloss, or melt.
  • When a soft white layer appears on the surface of the chocolate, it is called fatbloom. This is caused by the recrystallization of the fats and/or a migration of a filling fat to the chocolate layer. Fatbloom is harmless, but can be avoided by storing the product at a constant temperature.
  • When a rough irregular texture forms on top of the chocolate, it is called sugarbloom. This is caused when chocolate is taken out of the cold and condensation collects, dissolving and recrystallizing the sugar. Sugarbloom is harmless, but care should be taken to bring cold products to room temperature to avoid condensation.
